Background

The Emergency Response Portal (ERP) was incorporated in 2015 by its founder, Mr. Mark Macy.  Mr. Macy’s team developed the concept of providing critical information to businesses and tenants 24/7 and the sharing of information with first responders.  The product was taken to market in Ottawa and Toronto with signature clients, including Scotiabank Arena (formerly Air Canada Centre - MLSE) and Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, and corporate clients such as Manulife in Ottawa.  Additionally, major police services, representing the First Responder organizations in their jurisdictions, have been secured in the City of Toronto, Niagara, Ottawa and Halton Regions and throughout the province of Ontario through the Ontario Provincial Police.

Re-structuring

Under new leadership and ownership, the original product has been redesigned and rebranded as SITUALIS.

These changes have allowed the new leadership team to leverage their diverse range of experiences, market expertise and innovative philosophies to create a company and product that reflects our clients’ information, collaboration and security requirements.

The redesign and rebranding process includes engagement in the approval process under the SAFETY Act (U.S. Department of Homeland Security) in the United States for designation as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology.
